The Safe Way to Replace a Flat Tire

There's nothing fun about replacing a flat tire. At Audi Las Vegas we want to make sure you stay safe when tending to a flat. Here are some important tips to remember.

Always guide your car to a safe, level spot before you change the tire. Your car should be on a firm surface. Turn the car off and put on the emergency brake. Once your jack has been placed, loosen the lug nuts a little. Next, raise the car with the jack, remove the lug nuts, and remove the flat. Replace the tire and tighten the lug nuts as much as you can. Tighten them again after you lower the car.

The main thing to remember when you need to change a flat tire is to be safe. Never try to change a tire where there is heavy traffic, and you should also use emergency warning devices while replacing a tire.
